THE FISH WERE BITING!! As the fish were biting the bait my 83 1/2 year old dad bit the dust. He's ok but we had to cut our trip short to get him home to the doctor. I wish we could have stayed as long as we planned. Make sure to rent or bring an ATV to get around on. As with any rural bodies of water watch for snakes. My dad and I each caught 1-2 lb bass but my husband caught a 4+ lb bass --worth the trip. We caught lots of pan fish (approx 80) in two days. Ron was very gracious to show his property and allow access to all the ponds. We saw several deer and other wildlife on the property. We are ready to go back but maybe just my husband and I .Thanks, Ron, for sharing your place!! 15 May 2022

My family lives in OKC and wanted some privacy with a night sky view, land to run around on, and a pond to cast a hook in. Mr. Ron was a pleasure to make arrangements with. The cabin is spacious and lovely with tons of western charm. The indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit are so nice. I really enjoyed the patio for peaceful bird watching, sunset photos, and star gazing. All the bits of seasonal decor really made us feel right at home and cozy. You can tell a lot of care has gone into this cabin and the grounds. We hope to return, but we will always have special feelings for Dos Equis-my kiddo caught her first fish there. Thanks so much for having us!

Ron was a fantastic host, along with Phy and “Gucci”. The huge music library that played on a continuous loop, was a fav💙 The fire pit was very nice at night, which helps with the dock area for fishing. The beds are also very comfortable! I would suggest bringing iPad/laptop/TV etc, which I left at home, so you have outside contact for hotspot. One of our phones had service and the other could not acquire a signal in our location. Getting away to a place without having to worry about social distancing was such a relief. Next time, we’ll definitely contact ATV place in Ada, for a side by side. Thanks again Ron, your place is gorgeous 🤠

I just wanted to start by saying we had a great time. Everything was clean and comfortable living for our stay. Ron was such a nice guy and very good with communicating and showing where everything was at. Rainy was also very sweet and gave us a good tour of the land. We are looking forward to a nother trip out there soon!

I brought my elderly father to get away from the city somewhere safe during pandemic. We had a wonderful time here. We saw alot of wildlife and love the night sounds nature brings. The cabin was well decorated and clean. We had issues with a leaking faucet and faulty speakers which were quickly attended to . We found the stereo system difficult to understand and would recommend simple written instructions for use for those of us that aren't as technically saavy. I would caution bringing an elderly person unless you can provide adequate supervision as the patio and even cabin floors are slightly uneven which can be a trip hazard. There are no handicap bars or hand rails for the steps onto the patio or cabin ground (highly recommend). All in all, everything we needed was available -dishes, utensils, etc. The appliances are older and cabinets very difficult to open and close. Minor details, but need attention.

I brought my kids and dog to the ranch just to get away for the weekend. The kids had a great time exploring on 4wheelers. My dog loved swimming in the pond and chasing bugs. This was exactly the kind of place I was looking for for us to have a quick get away as a family. Ron and his staff were great in helping us get settled in and helping us with a delivery we were expecting for the weekend.

Great place to get away from the hustle & bustle of the city life and just spend some quiet time in the country. The night sky is beautiful with all the stars. Lots of acreage to explore and ponds to fish.

This is a great out of the way place which allows you to slow down and breathe. With no TV and internet it allows you to focus on being outside and with your family/friends. It's also close enough to a number of great areas for day trips if you want. We had a great time!

Amazing Escape from City Life
We really enjoyed staying in your Lake Cabin. The property is gorgeous, peaceful and very secluded. Highly recommend for relaxing, hiking and hearing nothing but nature. Also, It was great meeting you Ron, thanks for sharing your slice of heaven with us. Jeff & Sandra

Amazing Escape
Pure magic! We decided to make our annual trip to the Clarita Amish School Auction into a short escape, and need a place nearby... Well, just WOW! Ron is an incredible host, and us so very warm, welcoming and helpful. The cabin is a comfortable, casual little hideaway tucked into the pecan trees with lovely open meadows here and there through rolling hillsides. We found the outdoor cooking options mind-blowing grills, fryers, open fire grill/firepit, wood, charcoal, etc... any mode of outdoor cooking you want - Ron has ready for you! We enjoyed the full moonlight with no sound but the breeze, and cicadas at night. Early morning overlooking the meadows through the mist was soul-cleansing. Sunset watching a small group of doe browsing with their fawns right at the edge of the nearest treeline will beat "NetFlix & Chill" every time. Then there are the ponds... I could write a book here, but suffice it to say we are already working on our calendar to figure out how SOON we can make our next trip out there. 5 stars?... We'd give this little slice of heaven ALL the stars.

Bring an ATV!
This was a fantastic getaway. We brought our side by side and fishing poles and just spent the days relaxing and fishing at various ponds. It rained right before we came, so I highly recommend bring muck boots as well for the ponds. I can’t imagine coming here without some kind of ATV to get around. It’s a huge property, don’t limit yourself to just the cabin area. We will be back for sure, possibly with horses next time!

Best getaway waterfront cabin!!
We were looking for a place to download and disconnect, and this cabin was exactly that. The weather was perfect. The views in the morning and at night were INCREDIBLE. Ron and his grandson were AWESOME! We had a fire every night and look at the wonderful stars. My 10-year old son loved it even though there was no TV. The beds were very comfortable. We had everything we needed to cook. The washer and dryer were big so we were able to wash our clothes as needed. We are definitely going back.

A true gem ! Tranquil and beautiful surroundings quickly strip the stresses away and afford you a place unwind. Ron, the host, went above and beyond with quick responses to our questions prior to our booking, directions, tips and a wealth of information about the property and amenities.
The home was spotless, instantly giving you a sense that pride is taken in the upkeep, cleaning and safety of the property.
From a well-equiped kitchen to comfortable beds to a fire pit / grill on the back terrace overlooking the pond, you are left wondering how quickly you can book another stay to return.
We all left recharged and rejuvenated.
